What brought you to Thrive Fitness?

I had a scary doctor visit and was slapped with the harsh reality of how unhealthy I was. I began my search for a personal trainer that would work with people of all abilities. I had this false vision that trainers would only work with the fittest athletes. A friend told me that her mother in law (Tina Mason!) had recently lost a lot of weight by training with Jerry and got me in contact with her. Tina told me about Thrive Fitness’ upcoming open house and encouraged me to attend. I started training with Jerry a couple weeks after the open house and felt completely comfortable in the environment. I lost 19 lbs my first month! It has now been 12 weeks since I began training at Thrive and I am now down 31 lbs!

What are your fitness goals? Where do you see yourself in 6 months?

My fitness goals are to be healthy and have lots of energy to keep up with my toddler. In 6 months I hope to be down another 20-30 lbs. I have to look good as the Maid of Honor in an upcoming wedding!

What’s your favorite song to work out to?

Anything up beat.

What’s your favorite thing about working out at Thrive?

The small atmosphere. I was so intimidated to go into a gym because I thought there would be men grunting and flexing in mirrors and skinny little ladies with perfect makeup prancing around. Thrive Fitness is the COMPLETE opposite! Everyone is laughing and joking with each other. Everybody knows each other. We are all there dripping in sweat trying to reach our fitness goals and having fun while doing it.

What’s your favorite exercise you do at Thrive?

Well, when I started I hated everything! Now it’s not that way. I actually enjoy doing planks, progressive push-ups, squats, and the sled. Just when I think I have reached my max, Jerry pushes me one step further and I’m always so excited to see my body do things I never would have imagined I could do.

What’s your least favorite exercise?

The rear foot elevated squats! It's where one leg is behind me up on the black roller thing and I squat down with the other leg.

What’s your favorite healthy food?

Almonds and bell peppers

Something less old fashioned…Linley maybe…it’s just a little different.

If you were immortal for a day, what would you do?

Go shopping for ME…hopefully endless money comes with being immortal!

I don’t watch TV enough to find one annoying

Spanish

Handy Manny HAHA I have lots of repairs that need finished!
